I looked at him raising my eyebrows.

"It sounds like a questioning mister Cop, she is not going to be in trouble if she tells you her exact age is she?" i asked him with my hands on my hip.

"Oh, it sounds like you were close with the old potions master. I'm sorry for your loss. Really? That's cool." Jay shrugged to Kaalee than turned to Nara and stood up, drawing himself to his full height and putting on his interrogation face. "Really! Because it sounds like you're doing the interrogating right now, ma'am."

"Don't make me upset mister!" I pointed at him threatheningly
"Kaalee is my best friend and you asked all the questions here so don't come and point at me while you're the one who is doing it! You came here and accused of something in the first place." I felt myself boiled with anger and turned around walking away from him, i never felt this before since i died out of love for Nicholas.

Jay held up his hands in the universal 'I mean no harm' and looked helplessly at Kaalee. "I was just trying to get to know you guys a little better. I literally met you just the other day, and I wasn't aware there was anyway else to get to know someone without asking them questions. Excuse me if I somehow offended either of you," he said, though his tone was more taken aback and annoyed than anything else

I turned around and sighed knowig i went too far with my little outburst. I walked back now more calm then before.

"My apologies Jay, just blame it on the War, being pregnant on such a young age and having a bad family history where blowing things up are at the top of their list." I walked up to Kaalee.

"Sorry babe, having a lot on my mind lately." i sighed and let my head lean on her shoulder.

"Sure i look if she is awake." i looked at Jay who asked that question

He shrugged, "It's alright. I'm not exactly at my best either. Blame it on being a 'cop' as you all so quaintly keep referring to me as, or the fact that I got two hours of sleep. Either way. You just wait here, I'll go get Paige up." He grinned evilly. "I have a younger sister, so I know how to get her up."

I sighed and plopped down on a chair, knowing Kaalee would lecture me.

"Sorry again, i thought maybe he was here to investigate more you know."

He heade off down the hallway, and slowly opened the second door on the left, peering around it. She was awake

Paige was already awake when he came in.

"Sorry about that...Nara likes you but we lost everything in that war...it is hard for us to trust people. " she told him

"It's fine," he shrugged. "I never said I was innocent. Now, are you going to finish getting ready or not?" He was eyeing her bed with longing, and had to physically shake his head to tear his gaze away from it."

"I am...I was just seeing how long it would take one of you to come get me." Paige said, getting up, fully cloathed.
"Is that a crossiant I smell?" Paige asked.

He laughed along with her, shaking his head. "You're weird. But, yes, you did smell croissants. You're lucky, though. I was going to eat yours, but Kaalee wouldn't let me." He pouted

"I think it was a mistake to come here." I saw Paige and Jay coming out of the room and i stood up and turned to Kaalee.

"I'm sorry but i don't trust him, you can find me at Hogwarts after Christmas break." i gave her a weak smile and waddled towards the door

"Nara! Please don't. I don't have anyone else left. I'm not losing you too." Kaalee said to her.

"Okay...we have about...ten hours to make an awesome thanksgiving dinner...and the only thing Kaalee can make is cereal and scalloped corn. So...are you ready to work my friend?" Paige asked him, grinning as they walked back into the kitchen.
"I resent that!" Kaalee rolled her eyes playfully.

"She's not leaving on my behalf, is she?" He asked, looking after Nara

He playfully pushed up the sleeves of his long sleeved shirt. "I'm ready! First, we'll get the turkey ready, which means that you're on stuffing duty, Kaalee." He pulled out his wand and conjured up a piece of paper with the recipe on it. "just follow the instructions exactly as they appear."

I sighed and turned around, tears pricked in my eyes.

"What about finding out the truth." the last word i mouthed to her not letting the others know about what i was talking. I was too scared for someone to find out about it and the possibility that he could sue me right away. I wiped away my tears and sniffed.
