Jay worked the night shift at the OMLE the night before Thanksgiving, so he got home around 5 in the morning. As soon as his head hit the pillow, he was asleep, only to be woken up an hour and a half later by his alarm.
Groaning, he got out of bed and did his morning routine before apparating to his favorite bakery picking up a few croissants and going to Kaalee and Paige's shop

Kaalee had woken up an hour earlier then she would like have. And she still wasn't ready. Her hair was in a messy bun on the top of head and he was wearing sweats. She groaned and answered the door.
"Uh...make yourself at home, Ill be right back." She said, going into her room to change.

He had forgotten the coffee, so he apparated to a quaint little coffee shop near where he grew up, and to his luck, it was open. No one was in line, so he ordered a large strong black coffee, an wa out of the shop in under three minutes. He didn't know if Paige and Kaalee liked coffee so he didnt bother getting anything for them.
In five minutes he was back in Kaalee's kitchen setting three small plate around the table and putting a croissant on each one. With a sigh, Jay sank into one of the chairs and sipped his coffee, letting the smell fill his nose.

Kaakee changed and shoved Paige off her bed.
"The pigs have taken over the capitol!" Paige yelled as she fell.
"Get up! Jay is here!" Kaalee told her. She just turned over and said something into the floor.
"You have ten minutes to get out there." Kaalee said before going out to her kitchen
"Sorry about that...would you like a glass of orange juice?" Kaalee asked Jay.

With some struggle, Jay opened one eye, regretting having closed them in the first place. He smiled and held up his coffee, saying, "nah, I've got my fix, thanks. I brought croissants for breakfast; they're from this awesome bakery near my apartment."

"Thank you." Kaalee smiled, sitting across from him.
"So...I don't know if Paige will ever get up. That girl is as stubbern as a pitbull mixed with a Rottweiler." Kaalee laughed, sipping her orange juice.
"I..ah bought the groceries, they should be in the fridge if Paige didn't go on a late night binge. " kaalee said.

"That's pretty damn stubborn," Jay laughed. "Did you tell her that if she didn't get up by te time we finish breakfast, not only will I ear her croissant, but she doesn't get any dessert?" Jay grinned evilly at Kaalee, glad that they were past the stage where they hated each other.

I waddled into the store again and saw Kaalee and smiled holding a big bag of presents and i did last minute shopping knowing that the cop was coming too.

"Hello everyone Happy Thanksgiving. Ohhhh I love thanksgiving." i squealed rubbing my pregnant tummy.

"I've got presents! And even for you mister COP!" i winked at Jay and took a seat at the table, i smelled coffee and i dropped the bags and ran out to vomit outside, after 5 minutes i came back slightly pale.

"Sorry about that but the coffee smell always gets me." i groaned staying far from the coffee scent.

"Hi Nara...I didn't realize you were coming over for Thanksgiving this year." Kaalee said, surprised to see the pregnant woman.

I widened my eyes at her and cursed under my breath.

"I told Nicholas that he send you an owl to let you know that i was coming. Well i gueass he didn't." i sighed a little but looked serious again.

"Do you have enough, i don't eat that much. Nicholas and Amethyst are visiting their mother at their Grams house i didn't want to go you know, his mother, my father." i shivered but gave her a weak smile.

"...Presents? Interestin. Well, thanks! and I have a name. you can call me Jay, as long as you're not in trouble" Here he winked at her and chuckled to himself. He took another gulp of coffee, and was in the process of sighing when a thought occurrd to him. "Hey, if tire all British, then why are you celebrating Thanksgiving?"

"Does a boy in my stomach count as trouble? Jay!" i winked back at him.

This is the first time i'm celebrating it, i've heard a lot about it from family in France who has family here in the States." i smiled.

"Well it started with my aunt feeding me scalloped corn...and then I realized I can really only eat it one day a year otherwise I'd overendulge and I can't do that. So I decided to only. Eat on Thanksgiving." Kaalee said,

"Not unless you ate him, because then that's cannibalism, and that's generally frowned upon in this society. And yes we do have enough, as long as Paige and Kaalee don't eat like teenage boys."

I frowned at Jay.

"Ate him?? What do you think i am sir?" i shook my head but couldn't stop myself from laughing at his comment.

"Jay you need to loosen up a little, you have a day off enjoy it and loose the officer or the law just for one day." i grabbed my bag with presents.

"When are we going to unwrap them?" i asked Kaalee

"It was simply a joke, ma'am. And what do you mean loosen up? I am loose, I'll have you know. Completely and totally relaxed." Jay sniffed indignantly and took a sip of his coffee.

"First of all, neither of us are a ma'am, I'm Kaalee and this is Nara. Nice to meet you." Kaalee laughed, getting up and putting her plate in the dishwasher.

"When you're brought up by my mother, every member of the female gender is a ma'am. So by that logic, unless you have a secret Kaalee, you're both a ma'am." He rolled his eyes again, and turned to Nara. He noticed the hesitation, but wrote it off as her not used to saying her husband's last name as her own. "So, when are you due?"

"Februari next year. I'll be at Hogwarts during the labor, need to finish my last two years at that damned school without the potion teacher" i winked at Kaalee

"Potions teacher?" Jay asked, looking at Kaalee. "I was under the impression that she was a shop owner. And you're still in school? How old are you, if I may ask."

"Yeah Kaalee was a potion teacher and a really good one. I'm 16 almost 17" I said my age a little unsure
