Kaalee frowned and left her house. What was she going to do now? She decided to apperate to the nearest OMLE office to see if he was there to get Paige off her back. She found one of those reception desk thingys and hit the bell.
"How can I help you?" A woman asked, looking at her over her glasses.
"Yes does a Jay Collins work here?" Kaalee asked her and the woman nodded.
"Who may I ask is inquiring?" The woman asked.
"Kaalee Black." Kaalee said, still a Tad bit uncomfortable with her name.
"Wait right there and I'll call him up." The woman said and Kaakee sat.

A plum-colored paper airplane landed on Jays desk, and he unfolded it to see silver, looping handwriting of Kara, the redheaded receptionist. He raised an eyebrow as he read it, but quickly penned a response of his own, telling her to send Miss Kaalee Black up to his office. Figures, it would be her.

"Apparenlt? WomanX I thought you were going to hex me!" He laughed anyway and shuffled some papers around on his desk. "It's alright, anyway. I don't blame you; I can't say I would be too pleased either. Chief's office is just down the hallway, if you're still upset.." he trailed off, a small smile on his face.

"It probably has nothing to do with the fact that you yell at them, right?" He laughed. Noticing her discomfort, he raised an eyebrow. "Let me guess, your friend--Paige, was it?--talked you into coming and apologizing."

"Paige...she liked you. I think. At least she didn't hate you. And not exactly talked...more like demanded and pushed me out of my own house. And I am...you were just doing your job..." Kaalee said, biting her lip and her hair turned brown. She frowned and twitched her nose, turning it back to it's purplish white.

Jay smiled. "Liked me...well, at least you're not all totally crazy. I'm a likable guy, I swear. They usually have me playing the good cop. And I can totally see her chasing you out of your house with threats of no cookies or something equally as sacred as that." He laughed, "Miss. Black, I believe I should be honored, since I don't think you apologIze very often."

"Cookies are sacred. Those and milkshakes...you can never go wrong with that combination." Kaalee laughed.
"And you're right. In my entire life I've apologized to 6 people. Now seven. It's a big honor." She smiled, feeling more comfortable with the stranger.

"HOLY HIPPOGRIFF YOU'RE A METAMORPHAGUS!" Jay exclImed, rocking back in his seat.
Clearing his throat and regaining his composure, he apologized. "Sorry, it's just, I've never met one; your kind aren't very common."

"First, why do I feel like you would be terrifying after cookies and milkshakes? And second, seven apologies in your entire life? And you're, what, 18, 19? Dang, girl, either you're a saint or a total bitch, no offense intended."

"Yeah..." Kaalee said, a little startled by his outburst.
"And I've apologized to seven people, not seven times. Merlin I'm not that much of a bitch. And I'm not terrifying...just a little evil, but in a good way." Kaalee laughed.

"Oh..." he laughed awkwardly, "you probably think I'm an idiot; first an outburst like that, then calling you a bitch..not the best day for either of us, is it?" Jay got up from his small desk and moved around to stand in front of her. He held out his hand with a pleasant smile. "Let's start over. hi, I'm Jay, it's nice to meet you."

"Enchantee, I'm Kaalee. Nice to meet you Jay." She smiled at him, shaking his hand and smiling.
"Oh...yeah. Paige, because she has absolutely no boundries whatsoever, asked me to ask you if you would like to spend Thanksgiving with us. You most probably have plans or would not like to have thanksgiving with a total stranger but I had to ask because she knows when I lie." Kaalee shook her head playfully.

"Actually, no, I don't have plans for thanksgiving. My Dad is spending it with his girlfriend in Italy, but it's just the two of them. You can tell Paige I'll be there." He smiled at kaalee, and casually sat on the corner of his desk. "That is, if you don't mind me there. I wouldn't want to be intruding on your thanksgiving."

"Not at all...it was just going to be Paige and me pigging out on scalloped corn anyways. It'll be nice to make Paige cook for once." Kaalee laughed.

"No...usually we've known them for a day before we invite them home." She grinned cheekily.
"And Paige is...almost halfway good at cooking. Like I said, usually we pig out over scalloped corn, the one dish I can make." Kaalee laughed.

He matched her grin. "Oh that's good! I'm the exception to the rule; I like that." but then Jay's face fell. "No, no, no, no. I will not eat a Thanksgiving dinner that is anything less than scrumptious. I'm going to have to make at least the turkey. Please."

Kaalee raised an eyebrow at him.
"Well then mister chef, please break your stereotypical role in evolution." She laughed and then stopped, feeling a little bit of a deja-vu moment. She shook it off and smiled at him.

He scrutinized her for a second more before shrugging and sanding up. Jay parted the top of her head playfully before moving around thedesk and flopping in his comfortable chair. He sighed. "I, unfortunately, have a bunch of work to do. I have tomorrow off, so I'll probably be over to your house around 7. We have work to do." He grinned evilly, before handing her a list of things to purchase before tomorrow. He had had it written for his own modest thanksgiving, so he told her to buy twice as much of everything. "Oh, and I'll bring breakfast. Do make sure you're up and at least sort of presentable by the time I get there, won't you?"

Jay sighed and sagged back into his chair for a minute, before stretching his arms and going to work at his papers. He has a lot of files to fill out.

(I'm so tired,sorry! I'm like falling asleep right now. I'll be on..maybe tomorrow morning? I dunno)
